City of Red Bud Public Health and Safety Committee met Dec. 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Glenn Linnertz, Curt Guebert, David Friess, Kyle Donjon

Committee Members Absent:

Council Members Present: Clem Esker, Mike Reed, Susan Harbaugh

Council Members Absent:

Others Present: Mayor Tim Lowry, City Attorney Paul Ray, City

Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff

Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist.

Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Hanebutt called the meeting to order at 7:11 P.M.

Old Business

I. Country Club Drive – Speed Limits and On Street Parking

Brittingham said the unenforceable speed signs have been removed and he felt that the parking issue had improved somewhat. Leave on agenda.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – November 19, 2018 Meeting

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve the minutes from the November 19, 2018 meeting. Carried

II. Department Activity Report and Comparison Report

The monthly department activity report was included in the packets.

III. Training Request – John Brittingham

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Linnertz, to approve sending John Brittingham to training entitled “19th Annual Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Summit” on February 27 & 28, 2019 in Effingham, IL, with a $85 registration fee; lodging, food and transportation are required. Carried

IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

Meeting was adjourned at 7:13 P.M.
