Red Bud Fire Department issued the following announcement on May 24.
As you all know the Fireman's Picnic is fast approaching (June 28th-30th) and while we do try to put on as much of it as we can ourselves as to maximize everyone else's enjoyment we do have to rely on the wonderful citizens of the community to assist working in some of the stands. As with any event that needs volunteers to help put it on, our worker lists become outdated whether it's people no longer able to work, changes of addresses or any number of factors.
We know there are people out there willing to help that may not know how or we are unable reach them. This post is asking anyone looking for a fun and easy way to give back for a few hours to please send us a private message with their address and preferred working times (usually early shift and late shift) for any of the 3 days. The 3 stands we could use the most assistance in are:
The Food Stand
The Poker Stand (21 or older)
The Beer Stand (21 or older)
As always, we are blessed to have such an amazing community to rally around us and the picnic every year. We can't wait to see you all there!
