The data shows that two men and three women were released in Percy. The median age of the parolees was 30. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 47-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jerry D. Pelate. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 18 years old. He is now 20.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
