Q2 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Perry County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Perry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and two women were released in Perry County. The median age of the parolees was 28. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 39-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Roosevelt Irving. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2012 when he was 23 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter in each Perry County municipality.
