Evansville Police Department issued the following announcement on July 20.
Fifty years ago the world stopped to watch in unified amazement as astronauts from the United States of America not only landed, but walked on the moon.
Included in this post, is the photograph known as "Earthrise" that was taken from lunar orbit by astronaut William Anders on December 24, 1968, during the Apollo 8 mission.
