IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Chief Brittingham informed the committee that he has been contacted, regarding cost sharing with the Randolph County Sherriff’s office, for the cost of dispatching. Red Bud Police Department’s share was estimated at $81,000 per year. There is a meeting scheduled in June, among the municipal police departments, to discuss this issue. Currently, the Sherriff’s Office dispatches, Sparta PD is first backup and Washington County Sherriff’s Office is second backup. This is all in the early discussion stage.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:16 P.M.
