Duquoin Community Unit School District 300 Board met June 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by President Zach McPherson at 7:32 a.m.

2. ROLL CALL: Present - Harsy, McPherson, Riley, Rodely, Waller, and Woodside; Absent - West.

3. PUBLIC HEARING:

a. DEA Representative - None b. Public - None

4. EXECUTIVE SESSION: A motion was made by Woodside, seconded by Riley to enter into executive session at 7:34 a.m. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, and performance of specific employees in accordance with 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1). Roll Call: Yea – Woodside, Riley, Rodely, Waller, Harsy, and McPherson; Nay – none. Motion carried 6-0. 

- A motion was made by Woodside, seconded by Harsy to return to regular session at 7:43 a.m. Roll Call: Yea – Woodside, Harsy, McPherson, Riley, Rodely, and Waller; Nay – none. 

Motion carried 6-0.

5. EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL:

a. A motion was made by Riley, seconded by Woodside to employ Ryan Goetter as a Middle School Band Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. Roll Call: Yea – Riley, Woodside, Harsy, McPherson, Rodely, and Waller; Nay – none. Motion carried 6-0. 

b. A motion was made by Waller, seconded by Woodside to transfer Debbie Pierce to a 1st Grade Teacher position for the 2019-2020 school year. Roll Call: Yea – Waller, Woodside, Harsy, McPherson, Riley, and Rodely; Nay - none. Motion carried 6-0.

6. ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Woodside, seconded by Waller to adjourn at 7:45 a.m. Roll, Call: Year Woodside, Waller, Harsy, McPherson, Riley, and Rodely; Nay - none.
