PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT/GUESTS

Shannon Wolf from the Randolph County Sheriff's office came to speak with the Board about implementing dispatching fees for the Coulterville Police Dept. Wolf stated that Randolph County's expenses for dispatching the entire county is approximately $500,000 per year. They are looking to the towns to help pay for this cost. The current proposal is $14/call based on the previous year's call volume. This would make the amount due to the county $6,980.00. Scott Wine stated that Coulterville has the option of having Sparta dispatch at a much lower cost and the terms are fixed for 10 years. Wine asked Wolf if he could lower the cost and set a term for the cost so that Coulterville would be able to budget this expense. The Board did not make a determination and Wolf said he would see about a lower cost and perhaps a five-year term.
