The City Council of Red Bud, Randolph County, Illinois met on Monday, September16, 2019 at 8:30 P.M. at Red Bud City Hall, City Council Chambers.
Members Present:Mayor Tim Lowry, Curt Guebert, Mike Rheinecker, Bill Hanebutt, Jeremy DeMond, David Friess, Kyle Donjon, Susan Harbaugh

III.Proclamation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month 2019
Mayor Lowry referred to the Proclamation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, September, 2019 and said he would be signing and returning it.
IV.Authorization to Hire Mike Collins as Full-Time Patrolman
Motion made by Council Member Hanebutt, seconded by Council Member Friess to authorize the approval to hire Mike Collins as full-time patrolman, at the current rate of pay. The vote was as follows: Guebert, aye; Rheinecker, aye; Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Friess, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye. Motion carried.
V.Request from Office Bar & Grill for Street Closure – October 18-19, 2019

VI.Diewald Agreement
Motion made by Council Member Rheinecker, seconded by Council Member Hanebutt to authorize the approval of the utility easement agreement between Diewald Utility Services Inc. and the City. The vote was as follows: Rheinecker, aye; Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Friess, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Guebert, aye. Motion carried.
VII.Authorization to Advertise for Part-Time Meter Reader
Motion made by Council Member Harbaugh, seconded by Council Member Guebert to authorize the approval to advertise for a part-time meter reader. The vote was as follows: Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Friess, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Guebert, aye; Rheinecker, aye. Motion carried.
VIII.IDNR Grant Opportunity for Tree Projects
Motion made by Council Member Friess, seconded by Council Member Guebert to authorize the approval to pursue the grant opportunities for tree projects through IDNR. The vote was as follows: DeMond, aye; Friess, aye; Donjon, aye; Harbaugh, aye; Guebert, aye; Rheinecker, aye; Hanebutt, aye. Motion carried.
IX.Public Comments
Council Member Harbaugh asked about the library ordinance. It will be on the October council agenda.
