Village of Coulterville Village Board met October 7

Village of Coulterville Village Board met Oct. 7.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Board of Coulterville was called to order in the Community Center for regular session on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Those present for the roll call were Board members: Knope, Wine, Campbell and Wright. Dyson and Long were absent.

Moved by Wine, second by Campbell to approve agenda as presented. All Ayes. 

Moved by Campbell, second by Wine to approve Minutes for September 16, 2019 regular meeting. All Ayes. 

Moved by Knope, second by Wright to approve Minutes for September 19, 2019 special meeting. All Ayes. 

Moved by Knope, second by Campbell, to approve payment of invoices for October 7, 2019. All Ayes.

REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Financial report: Nothing to report. 

Cemetery report: Nothing to report. 

Sewer report: Nothing to report. 

Park report: Tabitha Knope stated that the Friends of Coulterville which put together the fall festival had raised a total of $5,161.00. The money was donated to the Village for the new concession stand in the village park. The group will meet again in January to plan for the 2020 fall festival. 

The state ball tournament is currently underway at the ball park. Scott Wine thanked the maintenance crew for all of their hard work in getting the fields and park ready for this school tournament. 

Trash/Recycle report: Cleanup day will October 19th. 

Water report: Nothing to report 

Street report: Nothing to report

PUBLIC COMMENT

NEW BUSINESS:

Moved by Wright, second by Campbell to approve hiring Jeremy Chamness as a part-time police officer. All Ayes. 

Moved by Wright, second by Knope to approve sending two representatives to the Regional Leaders Breakfast. All Ayes.

OLD BUSINESS:

Moved by Knope second by Wine to approve ordering three (3) new metal Coulterville signs from Border North Marketing in the amount of $1,335.00. The village will order the necessary materials to erect the signs estimated to be $720.00 which includes vinyl sleeves and caps for posts. All Ayes.
