Community Consolidated School District 204 Board met Feb. 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The regular monthly meeting was held in the school library. President Mary Jackson called this meeting to order at 6:00 PM with the following members of the Board answering present to roll call: Mary Jackson, Darlene Vanderjack, Sean Carter, Janet Szczepanski, Mark Stanton and James Buza. Absent was Jennifer Lemmon. Also in attendance, Jenny Malanowski Secretary and Superintendent Jerry Travelstead.

Motion#1 Mr. Carter moved to approve the Consent Agenda items as follows: Minutes of Previous Meeting,

Treasurer’s Report, Financial Report, Imprest Fund Report, Activity Fund Reports and Payment of Bills. Mrs. Vanderjack made a second to this motion and the motion carried. (Motion votes are recorded at the end of these minutes.)

President Jackson recognized and welcomed the following visitors: Suzanne George

New Business

Motion#2 Mr. Stanton made a motion to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Employees [5 ILCS 120/2©(1)] at 6:10 pm with a second by Mr. Buza and motion carried.

Motion#3 Mrs. Szczepanski made a motion to exit Executive Session at 6:40 pm with a second by Mr. Carter and motion carried.

Motion#4 Mrs. Vanderjack made a motion to accept the minutes as read in Executive Session with a second by Mrs. Szczepanski and motion carried.

Motion#5 Mr. Carter made a motion to accept the Policy Manual Updates with a second by Mr. Stanton and motion carried.

Motion#6 Mrs. Szczepanski made a motion to approve the 2020-2021 Public School Calendar as presented with a second by Mr. Buza and motion carried.

Motion#7 Mrs. Vanderjack made a motion adjourn at 7:20 pm with a second by Mr. Carter and motion carried.
