City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met Jan. 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board meeting of the City of Columbia, Illinois was called to order by Scott Dunakey at 5:06 pm.

2. ESTABLISH QUORUM

The following members were:

Present:

Courtney Castelli, Joe Sander, Chris Becker, David Bernhard, Molly Williamson

Absent: None

Quorum was Present

Administrative Staff Present: Director of Community Development Scott Dunakey and Community Development Assistant, Jessica Unger, Aldermen Mary Ellen Niemetz

Administrative Staff Absent: None

Guests Present: None

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A. No minutes to approve.

4. NEW BUSINESS

A. Election of Officers

Joe Sander was nominated for Chairperson of the board and accepted, Chris Becker made a motion to approve Joe Sanders to be the board Chairperson and Dave Bernhard seconded the motion, the motion was carried. Dave Bernhard volunteered to be the Vice-Chairperson, Chris Becker made a motion to approve Dave Bernhard for position of Vice-Chairperson and Joe Sander seconded the motion, motion carried. Molly Williamson was nominated as Secretary of the board and accepted. Dave Bernhard made a motion to approve Molly Williamson as the Secretary and Joe Sander seconded the motion, motion was carried.

B. Revised Draft Bylaws

The board was asked by Scott Dunakey if they saw any changes that needed to be made to the final draft of the bylaws and there were no changes to be made.

MOTION:

Motion was made by Courtney Castelli and seconded by Dave Bernhard to approve the board’s new bylaws. On vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED

Since there was no further business to discuss, Chairman Joe Sander entertained a motion to adjourn.

MOTION:

Motion was made by Chris Becker and seconded by Molly Williamson to adjourn the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board held Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 5:15 P.M. On vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED.
