Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Waterloo?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Waterloo zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that four men and one woman were released in Waterloo. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 32-year-old woman sentenced in 2018 and the oldest was a 40-year-old man sentenced in 2011.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bart Grissom. He was convicted in 2013 when he was 34 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the second quarter.
