Columbia Community Unit District No. 4 Board of Education met Jan. 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Present:

Karen Anderson

Tammy Hines

John Long

Scott Middelkamp

Greg O’Connor

Lisa Schumacher

Absent:

Greg Meyer

President Middelkamp called the special meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. in the District Office Board Room.

Visitor(s) present: None

There were no public comments.

It was moved by Tammy Hines, seconded by John Long to enter Executive Session

for the purpose of appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2 (c)(1).

On a roll call vote:

Anderson-Aye, Hines-Aye, Long-Aye, Meyer-Absent, Middelkamp-Aye, O’Connor-Aye, Schumacher-Aye.

The motion carried, 6-Aye, 1-Absent, 0-Nay

(Mr. Meyer arrived at 8:05 a.m.)

Conducted interviews of five superintendent candidates.

Motion was made by Greg O’Connor and seconded by John Long to reconvene to Open Session at 3:41 p.m.

On a roll call vote:

Hines-Aye, Long-Aye, Meyer-Aye, Middelkamp-Aye, O’Connor-Aye, Schumacher-Aye, Anderson-Aye.

The motion carried, 7-Aye, 0-Absent, 0-Nay

With no further business to come before the Board, it was moved by Lisa Schumacher and seconded by John Long, to adjourn the meeting.

Upon a voice vote, Motion Carried 7-Aye, 0-Absent, 0-Nay President Middelkamp adjourned the meeting at 3:42 p.m.
