Analysis: Waterloo pays $3.88 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Waterloo Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.5 percent of the $525,693 the Waterloo Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.88 for every $1 from pension members, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Waterloo contributed $418,000 to the fund, which saw a $40,694 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $107,693, or 20.5 percent, in 2018.
