Analysis: Pinckneyville pays $5.93 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Pinckneyville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.7 percent of the $240,529 the Pinckneyville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.93 for every $1 from pension members, according to a SW Illinois News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Pinckneyville contributed $203,838 to the fund, which saw a $2,013 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $34,366, or 14.3 percent, in 2018. Another $2,325 came from other unspecified sources.
