Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Perry County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Perry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Perry County were men. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2019, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robert M. Wright. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2018 when he was 50 years old. He is now 52.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Perry County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
