Chester home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Chester fell by $31,500 while total sales increased by 166.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,500 - a 27.4% decrease over the $115,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Chester in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Chester for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,256, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
