Chester home prices fall in July 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2018 in Chester fell by $46,000 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2018, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $64,000 - a 41.8% decrease over the $110,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Chester in July 2017.

The median sales tax in Chester for 2018 was $1,256. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,241. This marks an increase of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
