Chester home prices rise in June 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in June 2018 in Chester rose by $23,000 while total sales decreased by 40%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In June 2018, there were three homes sold, with a median sale price of $81,000 - a 39.7% increase over the $58,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Chester in June 2017.

The median sales tax in Chester for 2018 was $1,256. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,241. This marks an increase of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.6%.
