Sparta home prices rise in July 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in July 2018 in Sparta rose by $33,050 while total sales decreased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In July 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $77,500 - a 74.4% increase over the $44,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Sparta in July 2017.

The median sales tax in Sparta for 2018 was $1,346. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,212. This marks an increase of 11.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
