Chester home prices fall in May 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2018 in Chester fell by $76,250 while total sales increased by 250%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2018, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,000 - a 56% decrease over the $136,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Chester in May 2017.

The median sales tax in Chester for 2018 was $1,256. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,241. This marks an increase of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.1%.
