Chester home prices rise in March 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in March 2017 in Chester rose by $638 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In March 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $71,138 - a 0.9% increase over the $70,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Chester in March 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Chester for 2017 was $1,241. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,259. This marks an decrease of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
