City of Red Bud Recreational Facilities Committee met July 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Chairman Donjon called the meeting to order at 7:37 P.M.

Old Business 

I. Lincoln Park Tree and Bench Donation Program

Committee Member DeMond said that Pam Poetker had talked to Total Titanium about the plaque costs and their ability to supply the plaques. Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member DeMond to authorize approval of the Lincoln Park Tree and Bench Donation Program as was submitted to the committee last month and move it forward to the council agenda for approval. Carried

II. RBAA Lease – Discussion on Possible Revisions

Attorney Ray reviewed the recommended changes to the RBAA lease included in the packet. Attorney Ray will draw up the lease with the suggested changes and make it renewable in 20 years, to be approved at the August council meeting.

New Business 

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – June 15, 2020 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Harbaugh to approve the minutes from the June 15, 2020 meeting. Carried

II. Parks & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes – July 1, 2020

Donjon thanked Eckart for getting the barbeque grill installed. It looks really nice.

The pool breaker and pump went down. There was an issue with some wiring that the utility department worked on today. There is some corrosion going on and some rewiring and breaker work needs to be done. The pool is up and running for now.

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

Committee Member Harbaugh questioned and Eckart said there is equipment for one pickle ball court and he is working on how to set up and mark the court.

Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 P.M.
