Ellis Grove Fire District responded to 15 calls in 2018 - 37.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Ellis Grove included 14 fires - 12 structure fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $37,500 in fire loss - or about $2,679 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related death.
