Percy Volunteer Fire Department responded to 14 calls in 2018 - 27.3 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Percy included 12 fires - six structure fires, one vehicle fire and five other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $210,000 in fire loss - or about $17,500 per fire.

The department also received one false call.
