Pinckneyville Fire District responded to 19 calls in 2018 - 35.7 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Pinckneyville included 11 fires - eight structure fires, two vehicle fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $97,025 in fire loss - or about $8,820 per fire.

The department also received eight false calls.

The Pinckneyville Fire District had an annual budget of $157,941 in 2018.
