City of Columbia Plan Commission Will Meet October 12

City of Columbia Plan Commission will meet on Monday, Oct. 12.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

a) Final subdivision plat of Walnut Ridge Estates, Phase 1

b) Work session regarding possible zoning code amendment to allow the keeping of domestic chickens in residential zoning districts

NOTE; As Illinois hos transitioned into Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois Pion, this meeting allows hybrid participation (both in-person and virtually utilizing Zoom Meetings). In-person attendance is limited due to capacity restrictions. Priority for in-person attendance will be given to those directly participating in on item appearing on the agenda. Pursuant ta Resolution 2020-10: Members of the public may address public bodies of the City by submitting comments to be read aloud during the public comment portion of a meeting. Comments must be received prior to the start of the meeting, must be no more thon 200 words in length and be free of abusive or obscene language.

Members of the public may participate in a meeting virtually during the designated public comment portion of a meeting or public hearing via telephone or virtual means by sending a request to the City Clerk 5 hours before the commencement of the meeting.

Public participants will only be allowed to speak during the designated Public Input portion of the virtual meeting;

Public participants' lines will be muted until they ore recognized by the Choir;

Public participants must keep their comments to less than 3 minutes; and,

Abusive or obscene comments will be prohibited and grounds for the public participant to be removed from the virtual meeting.
