Braun Family Funeral Home issued the following announcement on Oct 16.
Alfreda "Tas" Louise Thrower, nee Landers, 94, of Cahokia, Illinois, born November 14, 1925 in Canalou, Missouri, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at her residence.
Alfreda retired from AT & T, after 35 years as a telephone operator.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thrower, Jr.; three daughters, Patricia Freeman, Donna Jean Hearty, and Linda Bevelot; her parents, Abraham and Mary, nee Scott, Landers; 14 siblings; and seven grandchildren, Karrie, Mark, and Danny Freeman, Kenny Bevelot, and Ronnie, Herman and Shawn Mathis/
Surviving are her son, Michael (Sherrie) Thrower of Cahokia, IL; a sister, Leetha Landers of Sikeston, MO; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was also a dear aunt, cousin, and friend.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Braun Colonial Funeral Home, Cahokia, Illinois. Funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home, with Pastor Ron Hebel officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
