City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met Nov. 16.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Member Guebert called the meeting to order at 6:29 P.M.

Old Business

I. Beautification Funding Request

Cole Stenzel and Matt Shields from the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce Beautification Committee pointed out the new Christmas decorations which they spent about $20,000 on. Many of the decorations need updating. The collection on the square generally brings in about $2,000. The fund is pretty well depleted, but all the decorations for this year are paid for. Stenzel suggested that maybe the city would contribute $5,000 per year toward the beautification committee’s efforts in making the city look great. Harbaugh suggested that the city would work this into the budget for FY’22. Hanebutt suggested the committee also put an article in the paper about the new decorations and request donations.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting October 19, 2020 Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Esker, to approve the minutes from the October 19, 2020 meeting. Carried

II. Chamber of Commerce Office Space Lease

Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Chairman DeMond, to authorize approval of the request from the Red Bud Chamber of Commerce to lease office space in city hall. Carried

III. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
