City of Red Bud Public Works Committee Met Jan. 18.

Committee Chairman Guebert called the meeting to order at 6:46 P.M.
Old Business
I. Power Plant
A. Plant Report
Eckart reported that they are on the first cycle of exercise runs for IMEA.
II. Utilities/Streets
A. Electric - Underground & Structure Replacement Project
DECO has signed off on the quarterly report and have okayed a reimbursement of $4,000. Poetker will submit the final report with a reimbursement request of $4,500, this week. Poetker believes that DECO is waiting until they receive the close out before they will be in a position to approve the water aerator project with the leftover funds.
B. Gas
Nothing
C. Water – Aerator Replacement Project
Waiting on approval from DECO for the water aerator project.
D. Sewer
Nothing
E. Streets
Eckart is working on scheduling street crack repairs.
III. Subdivision/Development Incentives
Guebert said he needs to ask Jeff Mueller to put down a list of the incentive items which they had discussed and then for the committee to decide what they wanted to move forward on. Guebert/Mueller will try to send something out for discussion at the next committee meeting.
IV. Utility Tap Fee Updates
Same with tap fees.
V. APPA Legislative Rally
This is a virtual event. If anyone is interested in this, please let Eckart know.
New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – December 21, 2020 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to approve the minutes from the December 21, 2020 meeting. Carried
II. Luke Mueller Resignation
Luke Mueller’s last day was January 7, 2021. He resigned to go to lineman school. Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to authorize approval of the resignation of Luke Mueller, effective January 7, 2021. Carried

IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Harbaugh questioned how the new meter readers were working. Eckart said there have been some problems, but they are working through them. The touch read wands are in, but it needs to be determined which routes those meters are on.
Esker asked Eckart for a list of all the concrete work that needs to be done. Eckart said the project at Ratz Park, which will be next fiscal year; the Lion’s sidewalks, patch work by Burnt End and on Orange Street and these will be scheduled in the spring.
