City of Columbia City Council Met April 26.

Minutes of the Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Columbia, Illinois  Held in the Council Room of City Hall.  

A. Call Meeting to Order 

Mayor Ebersohl called the City Council of Columbia, Illinois to order at 7:00 PM. 

B. Roll Call 

Present: Aldermen Ebersohl, Agne, Niemietz, Roessler, Huch, Holtkamp, Martens, and  Riddle.  

Absent: None.  

Quorum present.  

Administrative Staff present:  

City Administrator Douglas Brimm  

Chief of Police Jason Donjon  

City Engineer Chris Smith*  

City Treasurer Linda Sharp  

Director of IT James Mitchell  

C. Pledge of Allegiance 

Deputy City Clerk Kelly Mathews  Deputy Chief of Police Karla Heine  EMS Chief Kim Lamprecht  

Dir. of Community Dev. Scott Dunakey*  Library Director Annette Bland  

Those in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

I. Consent Agenda 

There was no Consent Agenda. 

J. Unfinished Business 

1. Ordinance No. 3568 Establishing the Budget for the City of Columbia, Illinois for the Fiscal Year of Said City Commencing May 1, 2021 and Ending April 30, 2022 

Alderman Niemietz requested more information regarding the Tyler Technologies software conversion and the hiring of future personnel. Mr. Brimm stated it was part of the budgeting process last year as well. Mr. Brimm then briefly reviewed the Tyler Technologies agreement with the Council. Mr. Brimm provided information on the programmed City Planner position. Chief Donjon and Chief Lamprecht updated the Council on future personnel in their departments. 

Motion: 

It was moved by Alderman Niemietz, and seconded by Alderman Huch, to pass and approve Ordinance No. 3568 Establishing the Budget for the City of Columbia, Illinois for the Fiscal Year of Said City Commencing May 1, 2021 and Ending April 30, 2022 

Motion Passed.

There was no New Business addressed by the Council.

Motion: 

It was moved by Alderman Roessler, and seconded by Alderman Martens, to adjourn the Special City Council meeting held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 7:24 PM. 

Motion Passed.
