U.S. Rep. Mike Bost (R-Illinois) is speaking out against what he sees as the wayward policies of President Joe Biden and Democratic leaders regarding the infrastructure plan, critical race theory and immigration.

“It’s clear that President Biden’s agenda is being controlled by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and AOC,” Bost said in a statement after Biden’s recent address to Congress. “And they were undoubtedly pleased to hear about the president’s plans for $1.8 trillion in new spending paid for with a tax hike on hardworking Americans. It’s time for the administration to stop currying favor with the far left of the Democrat party and start working with Republicans to defeat COVID-19, grow jobs, and strengthen America’s aging infrastructure.”

On the CRT front, Bost argues broadening such teachings only breeds greater levels of anger and racist attitudes.

"We still have flaws today," he said. "But the thing is you can either focus on the past and focus on the flaws or you can move forward with a better America and that's what I'm hoping we run into."

Bost likewise stands in opposition to the Biden’s administration’s position on immigration.

"The administration has sent a very clear message 'Come on, all of you come on!'" Bost said. “The president promised to govern as a bipartisan bridgebuilder; but he’s proven yet again that his pledge was a bridge to nowhere.”

Bost voted against the formation of a commission to investigate the events of Jan. 6, arguing, "It was not done in a bipartisan manner. It was done in a very partisan manner."
