City of Chester Planning Commission met July 29.

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Wagner at 5:02 PM.

Standing Reports:
Chris Martin: Randolph County Economic Coordinator discussed wealth building and the benefit of a housing study being done for Chester.
Commercial Property Database given by Chairman Wagner and discussed.
Alderman Allison informed the committee of the proposed road from Brenda Street to Chester Center and also the proposed sidewalk projects.
Chairman Wagner reported that the incentive package should be on the upcoming city council agenda for a decision. He also discussed how a passed package should be publicized enthusiastically to potential businesses and the public. .
Chairman Wagner presented the need for Chester to have a housing study to discover why people who work in Chester do not live here, and what is the potential of new homes being built in Chester.
