The Kids will Be Alright on December 11

Kids park 22

Waterloo Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Event Name: The Kids will Be Alright

Description:

Depression, anxiety, and suicide is on the rise as we all attempt to cope with the current circumstances that we have been enduring since early 2020. Fear has been a driving force in peoples advocacy to do what is seemingly right as we navigate through these uncharted waters. Friendships have been destroyed, families divided, and children and adolescents subjected to an unfamiliar and toxic environment while the adults in their life and their peers engage in unproductive arguments; telling others how they should live their lives and furthermore what to believe. This event is not to persuade you on how to think but rather to educate about true mental health and wellness, present tools to help build your immune system, introduce holistic ways on how to process and manage your emotional intelligence, as well as to inspire everyone to rise above their opposing views to create a culture of inclusion for the sake of our children and our community as a whole.

We will also touch on the beauty of our God given rights as that is one of the foundations that makes our country so great. We are all granted the freedom to express and live the way we see fit. Life is not a one size fits all and neither is our health. We must allow, honor, and respect our fellow man while taking responsibility of the only thing we truly have power over: ourselves.
