A regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #50, Perry and Washington Counties, Illinois was held at the Pinckneyville Grade School Building in said district at 6:00 P.M..
A motion was made by Nehrkorn and seconded by Conway to allow board member Austin Marlow to attend via the telephone. Yes -5, No -0 motion carried.
The President called the meeting to order and directed the secretary to take roll. The roll was taken and Kyle Pursell, President and the following members were present: Aaron Johnson, Paul Nehrkorn, Gideon Hutchcraft, Greg Conway and Austin Marlow. Bill Yates was absent. Also present were the following people: Scott Wagner, Mark Rohlfing, Matt Foster, Shari Kovic, Sarah Hutchcraft, Taylor Smith, Emily Tabing, Elaine James, Dana Kellerman, Amanda Duvardo, Mallory Witges, Becki Cowley, Lisa Cook.

Consent agenda - A motion was made by Johnson and seconded by Hutchcraft to approve the Consent agenda. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.

Resolution to adopt the FY 22 Pinckneyville District #50 budget – A motion was made by Johnson and seconded by Conway to adopt the resolution for the FY22 budget for Pinckneyville District #50. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Administrative & Teacher compensation report – A motion was made by Nehrkorn and seconded by Hutchcraft to accept the Administration and teacher compensation report as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Bullying Policy – A motion was made by Hutchcraft and seconded by Conway to accept the Pinckneyville District #50 bullying policy as presented. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Executive session - A motion was made by Conway and seconded by Nehrkorn to go into executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel, student suspensions and negotiations. Time 6:11 p.m. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Hutchcraft and seconded by Marlow to come out of executive session. Time 6:38 p.m. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Head cook position – A motion was made by Nehrkorn and seconded by Conway to hire Kathy Hankla as head cook at Pinckneyville Jr. High at 7hours/day, $13.00/hour with benefits for the 2021-2022 school year. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Employee resignation letter- A motion was made by Marlow and seconded by Johnson to accept the resignation letter for Laranda Ferrero as Paraprofessional effective immediately. Roll call vote: Yes Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Employee resignation letters – A motion was made by Hutchcraft and seconded by Nehrkorn to accept letters of resignation from Raygan Yates for Assistant softball and Head girls’ basketball coaching positions effective immediately. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Jr. High Girl’s Head basketball position – A motion was made by Conway and seconded by Johnson to post the Head Girls’ basketball coaching position at Pinckneyville Jr. High for the 2021-2022 school year. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Pinckneyville Elementary Paraprofessional – A motion was made by Hutchcraft and seconded by Nehrkorn to post a Paraprofessional position at Pinckneyville Elementary @ 11/hour, 5.5 hours/day, plus retirement benefits for the 2021-2022 school year. Roll call vote: Yes- Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
Retirement letter – A motion was made by Conway and seconded by Nehrkorn to accept the retirement letter of Superintendent Scott Wagner, with the effective date of June 30, 2022. Roll call vote: Yes Pursell, Nehrkorn, Johnson, Hutchcraft, Marlow, Conway. Yes – 6 No – 0. Motion carried.
