Monroe County Board met Dec. 3.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The meeting of the County Commissioners of Monroe County, Illinois was called to order at 11:00 a.m. by Chairman Vicki Koerber.

The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Chairman Vicki Koerber, Commissioner Dennis Knobloch and Commissioner George Green were present.

Others present were Scott Woodsmall of the Republic Times, Sheila Wetzler and County Clerk Jonathan McLean.

Chairman Koerber asked for public comments. There were none.

Commissioner Green made a motion to approve a resolution that Dennis M. Knobloch be elected to the Office of Chairman of the Board of Monroe County Commissioners, to serve until a successor is elected and has qualified. Second by Chairman Koerber. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Resolution #21-127

Dennis M. Knobloch took over as Chairman of the meeting.

Commissioner Koerber made a motion to approve a resolution that George Green be elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Monroe County Commissioners, to serve until a successor is elected and has qualified. Second by Chairman Knobloch. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Resolution #21-128

Commissioner Koerber made a motion to approve the annual budget and appropriation for 2021-2022. Second by Commissioner Green. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Ordinance #21-10

Commissioner Koerber made a motion to approve the general levy ordinance for tax year 2021 (payable 2022). Second by Commissioner Green. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Ordinance #21-11

Commissioner Koerber made a motion to approve the mental health funding board levy ordinance for tax year 2021 (payable 2022). Second by Commissioner Green. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Ordinance #21-12

Commissioner Koerber made a motion to approve the emergency ambulance tax levy ordinance for tax year 2021 (payable 2022). Second by Commissioner Green. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried. Ordinance #21-13

There being no further business to come before the Board, a motion was made by Commissioner Koerber to adjourn. Second by Commissioner Green. All voting Aye. None Nay. None Absent. Motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
