Report: Prairie Du Rocher School District spent $10,605 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Prairie Du Rocher Community Consolidated School District 134 was up 19.8 percent from five years ago, according to the SW Illinois News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Randolph County school district spent $8,852 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,605 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 175 to 131 students over the same period.

Prairie Du Rocher's spending in 2019-20 was 26.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
