Jacobs sponsors bill to void Illinois' 'unconstitutional' FOID card

Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) has actively outlined all his priorities for the 2022 legislative session, and Second Amendment rights is one of them.

"I believe the FOID card is unconstitutional and should be repealed! To that end, I have filed HB 4376. I believe in the protections afforded law-abiding citizens in the 2nd Amendment. Illinois is one of only three states to require the FOID card. I strongly favor action to void the FOID card," Jacobs said in the release.

House Bill 4376 would completely repeal the FOID. Jacobs offers his full support towards House Bill 4376.

He shared more about his 2022 priorities in a previous "Jacobs Journal" edition and touched on the issues he has with the FOID card there.
