The regular meeting of the Planning Commission for Tuesday, November 16, 2021 was called to order at 7:00pm.
No public comments were made.
No hearings were scheduled for this meeting.
Other items for the good of the order:
-Approval of the minutes from the October 26, 2021 meeting was first given by Robbie and second by John. Motion was passed unanimously.
-For the future land use map, we need to budget first then begin the process.
-Jeff informed us that there was a pig in a cage/pen on Polk Street that was removed. The architect at Moto Mart for the game room said a building permit is forthcoming. Pritzker is increasing the gaming license to $250 per machine. The city may put on an annual license fee.
-John mentioned a vetting process for applicants for planning commission. The last time we had multiple applicants was when Doug Sachtleben was appointed by the city council. A question about the number of members in each ward was brought up and although it is ideal to have two people from each ward, it is not required. A member must live within 1.5 miles of city limits to be eligible to be on the planning commission.
A motion to adjourn was first given by Jeff and second by Janet. Motion was passed unanimously.
