Village of Hecker Village Board met April 12.

President Charles Kujawski, called the regular Board Meeting to order. After reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, the following members answered roll call: Charles Kujawski, Rich Happel, Jim Mueth, Aaron Eckart, Arnold Eckart, Gary Wittenauer, Wade Harrelson, Lori Amann and Annette Schreder. Absent was Douglas Van Buren.

Gary Wittenauer made a motion seconded by James Mueth to approve the March 8, 2022 Regular Board Minutes. Voting all ayes, motion carried.

Aaron Eckart made a motion seconded by James Mueth to approve the treasurer’s report and pay all bills submitted for the month of April. Voting all ayes, motion carried.

Village Clerk Annette Schreder reminded that the Economic Interest Letters are due May 1, 2022.

President Kujawski will contact Dave Bruss to see what his status is on becoming the Zoning Board Chairman.

Committee Reports:

Public Works:

Streets: Aaron Eckart reported that the street sweeping took place last week. There were some complaints about rocks getting in the yards and driveways. Discussion was also held on possibly moving the street oiling days in warmer weather so the rock will adhere better and there wouldn’t be so much loose rock.

Parks: Bathrooms are open. The Village wide Yard Sale will be held Friday, June 10 and Saturday June 11.

Zoning: Zoning Administrator Wade Harrelson addressed the Board on possibly updating the Ordinance on trailers and campers and when they can be parked in the street and when they can’t for better clarity. Discussion was also held on swimming pools and when they need to be enclosed.

Rich Happel made a motion seconded by James Mueth to approve the following Special Event Liquor License Applications:

Monroe County EMS May 14, 2022

Hecker Volunteer Fire Dept. May 15, 2022

Hecker Community Center August 21-22, 2022

Voting all ayes, motion carried.

Gary Wittenauer made a motion seconded by James Mueth to adjourn the meeting. Voting all ayes, motion carried.
