City of Red Bud Finance Committee met June 20.

Acting Mayor Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.
Old Business
I. Code of Ordinances – City Attorney Final Updates
Attorney Ray is finished with the final updates to the Code of Ordinances. He will be giving Kristy the file tomorrow to produce copies. Schwartzkopf, Guebert, Rheinecker, Hanebutt, DeMond and Piel want a thumb drive; Donjon a printed copy and Nevois was absent.
II. RBI Property Tax Abatement – Waiting for 75% Project Completeness Nothing to report
III. Community Projects – Guidelines/Forms
A copy of the Project Planning Form was included in the packet for review. Poetker is suggesting this form be used when individuals/organizations come to the city with projects in which they are requesting funding. Please contact Poetker with any feedback. Leave on agenda.
New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – May 16, 2022 Recommendation made by Committee Member Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to approve the minutes from the May 16, 2022, meeting. Carried
II. Maturing CDs and Investment Information
None
III. Financial Dashboard
Acting Mayor Harbaugh reviewed the financial summary. Revenue is at 8% of the budget, while expenses are at 3% of the budget. There are zero outstanding utility bills. There is an undesignated $50,000 surplus in the economic development revolving fund account.
IV. Rusty Guebert Farm Lease Review
A copy of the current east industrial park farm lease with Rusty Guebert is up for renewal in December 2022 and was in the packet for review. Guebert is also farming the cemetery property north of the cemetery to the old railroad tracks, and this should be included in the lease. Poetker is to check on the going rate for farm ground rental per acre, in that area.
