The City Council of Red Bud, Randolph County, Illinois met at 6:00 P.M. at Red Bud City Hall, City Council Chambers.

Members Present: Acting Mayor Susan Harbaugh, Ben Schwartzkopf, Curt Guebert, Mike Rheinecker, Bill Hanebutt, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois, Alan Piel

Members Absent: Kyle Donjon

V. Approval of Estimated and Listed Bills

Motion made by Council Member Nevois, seconded by Council Member Schwartzkopf, to approve the estimated and listed bills. The vote was as follows: Guebert, aye; Rheinecker, aye; Hanebutt, aye; DeMond, aye; Nevois, aye; Piel, aye; Schwartzkopf, aye. Motion carried.

C. Chamber of Commerce Movie Night – June 11, 2022 (Cultural)

Approval of authorization of the request from the Chamber of Commerce to reserve Lincoln Park and have power dropped for Movie Night on June 11, 2022, with fee waived

Motion made by Council Member Rheinecker, seconded by Council Member Hanebutt, to approve under the omnibus designation, the consent agenda items A through I. D. Chamber of Commerce ChamberFest – October 21-22, 2022 (Cultural)

Approval of authorization of the request from the Chamber of Commerce to reserve Lincoln Park on October 21-22, 2022, for the ChamberFest and have power dropped, as requested in their letter, with fee waived

G. Request from St. Peter UCC to Close Randolph Street for VBS on July 15, 2022 (Cultural)

Approval of authorization to accept the request from St. Peter UCC to close Randolph Street on the side of the church, on July 15, 2022, after 4:00 P.M., for Vacation Bible School, subject to approval by Roeslein

Motion made by Council Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Council Member Rheinecker, to authorize approval retroactively, of the request from the RBFD to collect at the 4-way held on May 13, 2022, 3:00-6:00 P.M. The vote was as follows: DeMond, aye; Nevois, aye; Piel, aye; Schwartzkopf, aye; Guebert, aye; Rheinecker, aye; Hanebutt, aye. Motion carried.

2. Approval of Farmer’s Market to Be Held on City Hall Grounds 1st and 3rd Saturdays from June – September 2022

Motion made by Council Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Council Member Piel, to authorize approval of the request from the RBHS FFA to host a Farmer’s Market on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, June – September 2022, 8:00 A.M.-Noon at the City Hall grounds. 3. Request from the Humane Society to Collect at the 4-Way on October 21 & 22, 2022

Motion made by Council Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Council Member Rheinecker, to authorize approval of the request from the Randolph County Humane Society to collect at the 4-way on October 21 & 22, 2022. 4. Request from Santa’s Village to Incorporate a Petting Zoo to Village Events

Motion made by Council Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Council Member Hanebutt, to authorize approval of the request from Santa’s Village to incorporate a petting zoo to the village events on December 2 & 9, 2022.
