Illinois State Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Pomona) wants to make sure his constituents know he will continue to apply the values important to him to the work he does as a lawmaker at the state capitol.
Jacobs shared his latest campaign ad in an October 6 Facebook post.
"Honor. Service. Commitment," Jacobs wrote in the post. "These are the values I live by, and the values I will continue to bring to Springfield as your State Representative."
Jacobs won the GOP nomination for Illinois' 118th District by defeating Aaron Smith in the June primary election, according to the Carbondale Reporter.
Prior to securing the nomination, Jacobs reflected on the things he'd been able to accomplish so far. According to the Carbondale Reporter, Jacobs said he prided himself on being "a thoughtful, common sense, conservative that you can be proud of." He also said representing the district in Springfield requires "someone that can exhibit maturity even in the toughest situations." He called out his challenger for some of the tactics used during the campaign and added that he was "working hard to earn your vote and your trust" based on his voting record.
Jacobs was first elected to The Illinois House of Representatives in 2020. His legislative experience includes serving on several committees including Tourism and Higher Education, according to the House website.
