City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Advisory Board met July 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Park & Recreation Advisory Board meeting of the City of Columbia, Illinois was called to order by Chairperson Sarah Clarke at 5:00 P.M.

2. ROLL CALL & ESTABLISH QUORUM

Roll was called with the following attendance noted.

Members Present: Sarah Clarke, Lauren Darr, Becky Hunt, Matt Klopmeyer, Glenn Melching 

Members Absent: Kathi Boyer-Edwards, Chris Grode, Kara Lamack

Quorum present.

City Staff & Officials Present: Scott Dunakey (Director of Community Development), Alderman Mary Ellen Niemietz

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 

Minutes of the Tuesday, May 24, 2022 Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting were submitted for approval.

MOTION: It was moved by Member Melching and seconded by Member Hunt to approve the minutes of the Tuesday, May 24, 2022 Park & Recreation Advisory Board meeting as submitted. Upon a roll call vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.

4. PUBLIC INPUT

None.

5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS

a. Review & Discussion of park and recreation survey responses

Mr. Dunakey led a discussion of identifiable top responses with the Board generally concurring with results. Because the graphs were hard to read, Mr. Dunakey indicated that more detailed feedback would be sought when the final results are compiled.

6. NEW BUSINESS

None.

7. STAFF REPORTS & COMMUNICATIONS

None.

8. ADJOURN

With no further business to discuss, Chairperson Clarke entertained a motion to adjourn.

MOTION: Motion to adjourn was made by Member Klopmeyer and seconded by Member Melching. Upon a voice vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.

The meeting adjourned at 5:38 P.M.
