New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting August 15, 2022
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Schwartzkopf, to approve the minutes from the August 15, 2022 meeting. Motion Carried
II. Training Request for Joe Ledlow – IRWA Emerging Contaminants, Cybersecurity, and Wastewater Screening Equipment
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Donjon to approve this training request for Joe Ledlow on October 18, 2022. Motion carried.
III. Proposal from Osmose – Inspection, Testing and Treatment of Transmission Power Poles
From Griggs Road to the river to the plant. It was last completed in 2012. The work will be done mid to late fourth quarter this year. They will provide a report upon completion of the inspection.
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Hanebutt to approve the proposal from Osmose NTE $15,000. Motion carried.
IV. Mid-South Tank Proposal
Recommendation to approve the Mid-South Tank Proposal for the Reaction Basin at the plant.
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Schwartzkopf, to approve the proposal from Mid-South Tank for the reaction basin NTE $14,450.00. Motion carried.
V. Acceptance of Kenny Langrehr’s Retirement Effective September 20, 2022 at 3:30 p.m.
Superintendent Josh Eckart thanked Kenny for his years of service to the City.
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Rheinecker, to accept the retirement of Kenny Langrehr effective September 20, 2022. Motion carried.
VI. Recommendation to Promote Steve Mertz to Gas Leadman ($31.46/hour)
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Hanebutt, to promote Steve Mertz to Gas Leadman at $31.46/hour effective with the first full pay period following the October City Council Meeting. Motion carried.
VII. Acceptance of Electric Only Easement for Lance Krack Property at 4821 Blackjack Road
Recommendation made by chairman Guebert, seconded by committee member Schwartzkopf, to approve the electric only easement for Lance Krack property located at 4821 Blackjack Road. Motion carried.
