Old Business
I. Ratz Park – Approval of IDNR Agreement for Splash Pad Grant Code Administrator Jeff Mueller stated that the grant period is very short and was not enough time for their project. Supply chain issues caused a problem as well. Jeff recommended that we get pre-authorization to sign off on the agreement once we have it. Administrative Assistant commented that there isn’t much in the agreement you are going to be able to change. The state is not going to allow much in the line of changes or they will recall the funding.
Motion made by chairman Donjon, seconded by committee member Hanebutt, to approve the agreement with IDNR contingent upon review and approval of the City Attorney. Motion carried.
II. Red Bud Pool YMCA Monthly Report
Report was in the packet. The YMCA did attend the last Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting. Chairman Donjon and Mayor Harbaugh did ask questions particularly why we didn’t run the snack stand at all and they said it was because they did not have enough staff. We are going to look into all of the operations prior to paying the invoice.
The report in the packet was preliminary. The official invoice probably will not come until October. Mayor Harbaugh and Pam Poetker are meeting with the YMCA this week.
