City of Columbia Plan Commission met Sept. 27.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Park & Recreation Advisory Board meeting of the City of Columbia, Illinois was called to order by Chairperson Sarah Clarke at 5:00 P.M.

2. ROLL CALL & ESTABLISH QUORUM

Roll was called with the following attendance noted.

Members Present: Sarah Clarke, Lauren Darr, Chris Grode, Becky Hunt, Matt Klopmeyer, Kara Lamack (arrived at 5:04 and left at 6:15), Glenn Melching (left at 6:00)

Members Absent: Kathi Boyer-Edwards, Jerod Merz

Quorum present.

City Staff & Officials Present: Scott Dunakey (Director of Community Development), Alderman Mary Ellen Niemietz

3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes of the Tuesday, July 26, 2022 Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Meeting were submitted for approval.

MOTION: It was moved by Member Melching and seconded by Member Darr to approve the minutes of the Tuesday, July 26, 2022 Park & Recreation Advisory Board meeting as submitted. Upon a roll call vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED 6-0.

4. PUBLIC INPUT

None.

5. PARK & RECREATION PLANNING WORK SESSION

Shockey Consulting presented (via Teams) on the Parks & Recreation section of the Comprehensive Plan Update and facilitated a discussion on the Parks Inventory Assessment and park maintenance priorities.

6. ADJOURN

With no further business to discuss, Chairperson Clarke entertained a motion to adjourn.

MOTION: Motion to adjourn was made by Chairperson Clarke and seconded by Member Klopmeyer. Upon a voice vote, all members present voted yes. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.

The meeting adjourned at 6:43 P.M.
