City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met Sept. 19.

Others Present: Acting Mayor Susan Harbaugh, Code Admin. Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, City Attorney Paul Ray

Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf called the meeting to order at 6:13 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting August 15, 2022

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the minutes from the August 15, 2022, meeting. Motion Carried

II. Request from Red Bud Fire Department to Host Family Day at City Hall Park Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the request from Red Bud Fire Department to host family day at City Hall park on October 15, 2022. Motion carried.

III. Request from ComWell to Use Pavilion #1 at Ratz Park Less the Fee on October 7, 2022 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the request from ComWell to reserve pavilion #1 at Ratz Park on October 7, 2022. Motion carried.

IV. Authorization to Purchase gift Certificate and Hot Cocoa for Holiday Lighted Parade Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the purchase of gift certificates and hot cocoa for the holiday lighted parade NTE $550.00. Motion carried.

V. Request from TULAYNE’S for Use of City Park Lot for Deerfest and Grand Opening Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the request from TULAYNE’S for Deerfest and the Grand Opening. Dates include first and second deer season and muzzloader season for Deerfest, and one of the following for the grand opening: October 8/9, October 22/23, or November 5/6. Motion carried.
