City of Red Bud Parks and Recreation Commission met Jan. 30.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

Members present: Jim Birke, Tim Fahey, Kyle Herriman, Wil Krick, Deb Opel, Terri Reed.

Members absent: Ryan Koudela, Bradley Mayberry, and Winnie Rehmer.

Others Present: Kyle Donjon and Susan Harbaugh

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tim Fahey at 6:30 PM at City Hall

Minutes from the January 2023 meeting were approved

POOL

• Jim Birke Received a bid from R&R Storage Solutions for a custom built Cardinal building to use as a concession stand at the Red Bud pool. Approximate cost of $7,700. Tabled to the next meeting.

LINCOLN PARK

• Dian Keil proposed via emails that the City buy materials and install a Windscreen on the fencing around the multipurpose field for Pickleball courts. Cost not to exceed $3,000. Members of the Pickleball Club would install and remove each season and store in plastic storage totes in Red Bud utility storage sheds. (see attached materials)

Deb Opel made a motion to City Council to purchase the windscreen for the pickle ball courts not exceed $3,000.00. Terri Reed Seconded Motion carried unanimously

OSLAD GRANT

Susan shared that Farnsworth has a plan for completion. Will email to committee.

BUDGET

Discussed Budget for FY24

OTHER BUSINESS

Deb was notified by the Red Bud High School FFA that they would like to help beautify our parks. Will request they attend our March 1st meeting to discuss.

NEXT REGULAR MEETING scheduled for March 1, 6:30 at City Hall

Wil made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Kyle seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
